Unique locking from both lateral and medial integrates the soft tab and screw together firmly, avoiding the tab detaching during rod passing and pressing.

Soft tab and screw only connected laterally may detach during rod passing and pressing and delay operating time.

The screw cannot be close to anterior margin of the posterior column. The remained profile will make intraoperative tab breaking difficult and lead postoperative screw breaking.

Indications

Provide posterior, noncervical fixation as an adjunct to fusion for the following indications: degenerative disc disease (defined as back pain of discogenic origin with degeneration of the disc confirmed by history and radiographic studies); spondylolisthesis; trauma (i.e., fracture or dislocation); spinal stenosis; curvatures (i.e., scoliosis, kyphosis and/or lordosis); tumor; pseudarthritis; and/or failed previous fusion.
